We understand that most folks don’t want to remove their stock hose end, so we designed an adapter that twists and locks into it, making it compatible with our magnetic connector system in a non-destructive, reversible, and totally secure way. Just insert and twist to lock it in and you’re ready to connect to any of our magnetic hose and tool connectors.
No. This adapter uses the same native Festool attachment method (lugs and channels) as the ports the D36 was made to connect with.
No. The interior cross section of this adapter is the same as that of the Festool ports the D36 connector was made to fit over (routers, track saws, Planex, etc.). There is zero loss of airflow.
This adapter connects the exact same way that your hose connects to, say, your OF 1400’s dust port. It’s actually modeled on that dust port, which is also found on the latest OF 1010, OF 2200, the latest track saws, Planex, et cetera. If your hose is brand new, it will be a little stiff, but it takes exactly the same amount of effort to install and remove as it does on your tools.

These are superbly engineered products. I have several similar products I've purchased on Etsy in the past year, and they are not even comparable to these Hosejoy adapters. The magnets are incredibly strong. What really makes this product shine, though is the system. Every one of my tools has the same connection and that is worth its weight in gold. Just buy it.
